Day in Columbus

Hey all....just got back from an all day shopping trek to Easton Mall in Columbus with Jenny. We had a great time, it is a very cool mall, cool city. Hell, Columbus is the only place in Ohio where I think I would chose to live. I know, I know...a guy should never admit to liking shopping, but I do like it sometimes. And I got some good stuff today, not nearly as much as Jen of course, but I did well. The best thing was I talked myself into buying a very cool framed black and white print of a group of Cubs playing around in the 1940s. The print is called Classic Cubs! Very awesome.....only $55 framed, so I just couldn't pass that up. Not sure what the hell I'll do with it yet. I may take down my 49er shrine in my room (they no longer deserve anything like that) and set up one for the much cooler, though not-as-successful Cubs.
MAC update: my apologies to Northern Illinois as they beat a good Troy State team tonight to atleast bring the conference to 2-3 in it's 5 bowls. That still sucks though, thanks alot you sorry ass Rockets. Oh and Happy New Years everyone! Hope that anyone who reads this gets nice and drunk. I will be working Sat morning, hopefully still drunk. later!

writer's block and MAC "football"

Hey all. I still have no idea what types of things to type on one of these damned things. I don't think the point is for me to sit in front of my computer staring at the posting page, brainstorming things to write about. It would seem that my writer's block has completely taken over my life now. It's bad enough that I can't seem to write anything intelligent for my thesis...but to have writer's block on my far-more-important blog is just unacceptable. Wait....that last sentence kinda explains a few things about my academic pace, huh? Anyway...(ignoring that)
I want to rant now...on the MAC's dismal performance in its record 5 bowl games to this point. This season the conference finally got some long overdue respect by destroying its previous high of 2 bowl invites by getting 5 teams in (including a mediocre 6-5 Marshall team) and almost got 6 with Akron. This was to be the time for the MAC to shine and create a permanent place for itself in the bowl season. And how has it gone so far, the MAC is 1-3 with only Bowling Green winning. Toledo and Marshall pretty much got embarrased and Miami could do nothing last night to score (which can never be said of any girl from Miami U). Now the fate of any respect for the conference rests with the Huskies of Northern Illinois, who choke in more big games than the Buffalo Bills do in Super Bowls. Anyway...I know no one who reads this will really care, maybe Corey (who will argue with something I've written) but I wanted to rant anyway. Ok...well my head is empty now. I'm always open to ideas to write on. later!

new to me

Hey everyone!!! How the hell are ya? Its the middle of Christmas Day and I'm bored out of my friggin mind. Have to go to xmas dinner soon and I still haven't opened a single present. So I thought I'd take a page from J and Corey and start my own useless, time-killing blog-type thing. I don't really have much to say at this point. I should probably be doing something more constructive, like...I dunno..writing my thesis, but that would require higher brain functions. I picked this page set up cause it looks historical (does that count as research?) but I'm sure I will be bored enough to change it soon. Well...ok..I guess I should maybe finish wrapping gifts or get dressed or well anything but kill more time on here. later! And Merry Christmas!
